3. Province boosts grant for electric microcar purchases
Combined government subsidies now total \8.2m per car

The provincial committee charged with boosting the use of electric vehicles on the island has decided to increase the local government grant for purchases of new electric microcars to four million won.

That’s 1.5 million won more than last year. When combined with the national subsidy of 4.2 million won, buyers will get 8.2 million won.

Electric microcars are defined as being up to 3.5 meters in length, 1.5 meters in width, and 2 meters in height. There are three models to choose from: Renault Samsung Motors’ Twizy, Daechang Motors’ Danigo and Semisysco’s D2. They cost between 15 million and 22 million won.

초소형 전기차 도비 보조금 400만원 지원

올해 초소형 전기차 도비 보조금이 400만원으로 증액됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 최근 전기차활성화위원회 회의를 열어 이같이 결정했습니다.

이같은 보조금은 지난해 보다 150만원 증액된 것으로 전체 보조금은 국비 420만원을 포함해 820만원 입니다.

초소형 전기차는 길이 3.6m에 너비 1.5m, 높이 2m 이하이며 시중에는 르노의 '트위지', 대창모터스의 '다니고', 세미시스코의 'D2'가 판매되고 있으며 가격은 1천 500만원에서 2천 200만원입니다.
