4. Airport to run ‘traffic response team’
540,000 people to use facility over holidays

The Jeju branch of Korea Airports Corporation is running a special team to deal with traffic issues through February 7th.

The KAC projects some 540,000 people will use the airport over the next few days. That’s 1.2 percent more than over the Lunar New Year holidays last year.

The number of flights will increase 0.2 percent over the same period to 3,200.

KAC representatives are asking travelers to use public transportation over the holidays to keep traffic congestion at the airport to a minimum.

제주공항 설 연휴 특별교통대책반 운영

한국공항공사 제주지역본부가 설 연휴 기간인 2월 1일부터 7일까지 특별교통대책반을 설치해 운영합니다.

공항공사에 따르면 이번 설 연휴 기간 제주공항 이용 승객은 지난해 같은 기간보다 1.2% 증가한 54만명으로 예상됩니다.

또 항공기 운항도 전년보다 0.2% 증가한 3천200여 편에 이를 전망입니다.

공항공사는 설 연휴 기간 혼잡이 예상되는 만큼 가급적 대중교통을 이용해 줄 것을 당부했습니다.
