5. 370 tons of Hallabong to be shipped to army
Shipments to be complete by April

Korean soldiers have enjoyed some Jeju mandarin oranges, and now they’ll be able to have some Hallabong from the island.

The Jeju headquarters of Nonghyup says it recently started supplying the fruit to the army through its (중문) Jungmun and (조천) Jocheon branches.

As part of measures to deal with the seasonal tariff abolishment on oranges, 370 tons of Hallabong will be sent to the army by April.

Jeju Nonghyup plans to ship more citrus to the army in the future, and to expand those shipments to include vegetables and livestock products.

감귤에 이어 한라봉도 군에 납품됩니다.

제주농협 지역본부는 최근 중문농협과 조천농협을 통해 한라봉 군납을 시작했다고 밝혔습니다.

오렌지 계절관세 철폐에 따른 대응책으로 오는 4월까지 370톤이 납품될 예정입니다.

제주농협은 앞으로 감귤 군납 확대 추진과 함께 채소류와 축산물 등으로의 확대를 적극 추진할 계획입니다.
