4. Province appoints new director of international relations
Kim Seong-eun is former consul general in Mumbai, India

The provincial government has appointed one of Korea’s former consuls general in Mumbai, India as Jeju’s director of international relations.

(김성은) Kim Seong-eun graduated from Ohyun High School and the Korea University Department of Political Science and International Relations. He began his public service career after passing the civil service examination in 1992.

He then served as the first secretary at the Korean embassy in Portugal, as the directory of a trade and investment promotion division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and as an adviser for the Korean office of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

He will be in charge of attracting investments and international events to the island as well as supporting Jeju’s export sector over the next two years.

제주국제관계대사에 김성은 前 총영사

제주특별자치도가 국제관계대사에 김성은 전 주 뭄바이 총영사를 임명했습니다.

신임 김성은 국제관계대사는 오현고등학교와 고려대학교 정치외교학과를 졸업했으며 1992년 행정고시를 통해 공직에 입문했습니다.

이후 주 포르투칼 대사관 1등 서기관과 외교통상부 통상투자진흥과장, 주아세안 참사관을 지냈습니다.

국제관계대사는 앞으로 2년간 투자유치와 수출지원, 국제행사 유치를 돕게 됩니다.
