5. Province to subsidize purchase of 7,100+ EVs this year
Applications now being accepted

The provincial government began Monday accepting applications for the subsidized purchase of electric vehicles.

The province is subsidizing the purchase of a little over 71-hundred EVs: 6,000 cars and about 11-hundred electric two-wheeled vehicles.

The government is offering grants of between 12 million and 14 million won per standard vehicle and between 2 and 3.5 million won for the two-wheelers.

Buyers also benefit through a reduction of roughly 5.3 million won in acquisition and special consumption taxes.

18일부터 전기차 접수…올해 7천 1백대 보급

제주특별자치도가 18일부터 전기차와 전기이륜차 보급 신청을 받습니다.

올해 보급대수는 전기차 6천 대, 전기이륜차 1,100여 대 등 7,136대입니다.

보조금은 전기차의 경우 1천 2백만 원에서 최대 1천 4백만 원, 전기 이륜차는 2백만 원에서 최대 350만까지입니다.

전기차를 구매하면 취득세와 개별소비세 등 세금 530만 원이 감면됩니다.
