4. Civilian-Military Complex Port to welcome first cruise ship
Queen Mary 2 will arrive March 2

The Civilian-Military Complex Port in Gangjeong will soon welcome its first cruise ship.

The province says the UK-flagged Queen Mary 2 will arrive at the port at 8 a.m. March 2nd with 24-hundred British passengers.

They will have the chance to see Jeju sights for ten hours before the ship sets sail from the island at 6 p.m. the same day.

The province and the town of Gangjeong are working together to greet the tourists with flower leis and souvenirs. Various activities have also been scheduled, including performances by the Marine Band and the town’s traditional dance group.

강정 민군복합항에 처음으로 크루즈선이 입항합니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 다음달 2일 오전 8시에 관광객 2천 400명을 태운 영국 국적의 크루즈선인 '퀸 마리 2호'가 강정 크루즈항에 입항합니다.

'퀸 마리 2호'는 같은 날 오후 6시까지 강정 크루즈항에 머물게 되며 탑승객들은 10시간 동안 제주관광에 나서게 됩니다.

제주도와 강정마을은 입도 관광객에게 꽃목걸이와 기념품을 증정하게 되며 해군 군악대의 식전 공연과 강정마을 걸궁팀과 사물놀이 등 다양한 부대행사도 마련됩니다.
