5. Happiness level of youth in Korea measured
Students in Jeju ranks highest

Jeju’s youth is now officially the happiest in Korea.

The National Youth Policy Institute researched over 9,000 youth ranging from fourth grade elementary students to seniors in high school. The survey took place in 17 provinces and cities in Korea from May to July of last year.

The results showed that the youth in Jeju have the lowest rate of suicide and school suspension.

Students in Jeju ranked first place in the areas of general life satisfaction, trust level of school teachers, and school life satisfaction.

제주지역 청소년들이 느끼는 행복감이
전국에서 가장 높은 수준인 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국청소년정책연구원이 지난해 5월부터 7월까지
전국 17개 시.도지역 초등학교 4학년부터
고등학교 3학년까지
청소년 9천여명을 대상으로 실시한 결과 이 같이 나타났습니다.

제주 청소년들은
전반적인 삶의 만족도와
학교 선생님에 대한 신뢰도,
학교 생활 만족도 등에서 전국 1위를 차지했습니다.

또 '청소년 자살률'과 '학업 중단율'는 전국 최저치를 기록했습니다.
