2. Greenland International Hospital denied approval
Final decision to be made at provincial hearing

The provincial government will hold a hearing to cancel the approval of the establishment of Greenland International, a for-profit hospital.

The province has stated that the hospital has not properly prepared for operations since its approval on December 5th of last year. The hospital was given a 3 month period to establish operational systems, in accordance with hospital licensure law, but it had failed to do so without valid cause.

The law also allows all involved parties to state their case during the hearing. The governor will make the final decision based upon all relevant facts.
The hearing process will be completed in one month, at the earliest.

녹지병원 개원 거부…청문 절차 돌입

제주도가 영리병원인 녹지국제병원의 개설허가 취소를 위한
청문 절차를 진행하기로 했습니다.

제주도는
녹지병원이 지난해 12월 5일 개설허가를 받은 이후
의료법이 정한 3개월의 준비기간이 있었지만
정당한 사유없이 업무 준비를 하지 않았다며 이 같이 밝혔습니다.

청문절차는 빠르면 한달 정도 소요되며
그 결과를 토대로 도지사가 허가 취소 여부를 결정하게 됩니다.

의료법상 개설허가 취소 처분을 위해서는
당사자 등의 의견을 듣는
청문 절차를 실시하도록 규정하고 있습니다.
