2. Ruling party demands cancellation of Greenland Intl. Hospital
Claims approval did not include public opinion

The leaders of the Democratic Party of Korea says approval for the Greenland International Hospital should be revoked. Hearing procedures for the validity of the hospital is underway.

Lawmaker Nam In-sun (남인순) from the Democratic Party of Korea stated at the budget policy meeting held at the Business Agency on Wednesday that the opening of the hospital is impossible, so canceling the approval would be the only step to take.

Lawmaker Nam emphasized that the conditional approval did not take into consideration public opinions. She says the controversial hospital should no longer be a debated topic at the government level.

경제통상진흥원에서 열린 예산정책간담회에서
녹지국제병원은 사실상 개원이 불가능하다며
허가 취소는 당연한 조치라고 말했습니다.

특히 도민 공론결과를 외면한
조건부 허가였던 만큼
정부 차원에서
다시는 영리병원 문제가 거론되지 않도록
최선을 다하겠다고 강조했습니다.
