Measures taken to restrict vehicle use

Authorities will enact tougher measures to control levels of highly concentrated fine dust particles.

The Ministry of Environment has announced that public employees will be restricted from driving when emergency mitigation measures are issued for 3 or more days. Currently, the ‘alternative driving day system’ is the emergence measure that is taken to regulate vehicle use.

The ministry also added that restrictions on private vehicle use may be issued if emergency measures are declared for over 4 consecutive days.

고농도 미세먼지에 대한 비상 저감조치가 대폭 강화됩니다.

환경부는
"비상저감조치가 3일 이상 발령되면
공공부문 차량 운행 제한을
지금의 2부제에서 '전면 중단'으로 강화하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

또 비상저감조치가 5일 이상 발령되는 경우
지자체가 원할 경우
민간 차량도 운행을 제한할 수 있도록 하는 방안도
고려중이라고 덧붙였습니다.
