5. JPDC partners with UNESCO
Pledges ￦500mil to address global water issues

The Jeju Province Development Corporation is working in partnership with UNESCO to support global water issues.

The JPDC finalized the deal in April of 2018, and has pledged 500 million won to be paid over the course of 5 years.

The funds will be used to provide sustainable water supplies and educational programs to West-Central Africa.

The JPDC will continue to expand their support to other countries with water shortage crisis.

제주도개발공사는
지난해 4월 유네스코와 파트너십 체결 이후
2023년까지 5년동안 5억원을 지원한다고 밝혔습니다.

지원금은 서부-중앙 아프리카 지역 수자원 문제 해결을 위한
프로젝트와 교육 프로그램 등에 활용됩니다.

제주도개발공사는 앞으로 아프리카 지역뿐 아니라
물 부족으로 고통받고 있는 지역에 지원을 확대해 나갈 방침입니다.
