4. 43% of bus-lane violations are rental cars
Violations occur due to lack of knowledge

More than 40% of bus land violations have been found to be made by rental cars.

The provincial government says that there have been over 16,000 violations of bus-only lanes since October last year. About 6,900 of the vehicles in violation were found to be rental cars. That makes up about 43% of the total.

The province has analyzed that the reasons behind the violations are because tourists are unaware of the bus-only lanes or have a lack of understanding of how to utilize them.

1만 6천300여 건에 이르고 있습니다.

이 가운데 43%인 6천 900여 건이
렌터카인 것으로 집계됐습니다.

제주도는
렌터카 운전자인 관광객들이
우선차로제를 모르거나
운영 방식을 제대로 인지하지 못하는 경우가
많기 때문인 것으로 분석했습니다.
