3. City of Jeju restricts use of disposable plastic products
Fine of max ￦3M to be charged if found to be in violation

Large-scale stores and supermarkets will be subject to a fine for the use of disposable plastic bags starting next month.

The city of Jeju had offered a preparation period to stores for the regulation of the use of disposable plastic bags and will undergo inspections beginning April 1st to restrict plastic bag use, and businesses in violation of the regulation will be fined up to 3 million won, depending on the number of violations and the size of the business.

The City will also reinforce supervision of cafes and food service shops to reduce the use of disposable plastic cups.

다음달부터 대규모 점포와 슈퍼마켓에서
1회용 비닐봉투를 사용하다 적발될 경우 과태료가 부과됩니다.

제주시는 1회용 비닐봉투 사용 규제 사업장에 대한
계도기간이 끝남에 따라
4월 1일부터 사용 여부를 집중 점검한다고 밝혔습니다.

위반사업장은
적발 횟수와 사업장 면적에 따라 최대 300만원 이하의 과태료를
부과합니다.

제주시는 이와함께
1회용 플라스틱 컵 사용을 줄이기 위해
커피숍 등을 대상으로 지도점검을 강화할 예정입니다.
