4. Jeju police grants amnesty to drug users, dealers
Crackdown on illicit cultivation and trade of drugs

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency is offering amnesty from April to June.

Drug dealers and occasional and habitual drug takers are subject to the amnesty.

People reported by families, guardians and doctors with drug use or drug dealing will be treated as turning themselves in.

The police is also raiding illegal cultivation and trade of drugs from April to July, which is the flowering season of poppy plants and harvesting season for hemp.


경찰, 마약류 투약 특별자수기간 운영

제주지방경찰청이
이달부터 오는 6월까지
마약류 투약자 특별자수기간을 운영합니다.

자수 대상은
마약류의 단순 또는 상습, 중증 투약자와
마약류 제공이나 수수 등입니다.

본인이 직접 신고하거나
가족, 보호자, 의사 등이 신고한 경우도
자수에 준해 처리되며
이 경우 치료보호 또는 형사처분에 참작됩니다.

한편 경찰은 양귀비 개화기와 대마 수확기를 맞아
이달부터 오는 7월 말까지 4개월 동안
밀경작이나 밀매사범 단속을 병행하고 있습니다.
