4. Governor welcomes condolences by Defense Ministry, National Police Agency
Hopes for a resolution and healing for victims of April 3rd Incident

Jeju Governor Won Heeryong welcomed condolences sent by the Ministry of Defense and National Police Agency toward the victims and bereaved families of the April 3rd Incident.

The governor said he supports their “bold decision” to officially express remorse to the victims and their families and the islanders.

He added that he hopes this event will become a turning point for islanders to regain their honor and recover from the tragedy.
