Tourism Promotion Fund payments to increase

Last year’s revenue of the island’s casinos exceeded 500 billion won.

Jeju provincial government revealed that the eight foreigners-only casino’s expects an aggregate of 510 billion won this year. It increased by 300 billion from 170 billion won the previous year.

Jeju Shinhwa World’s casino has sales of approximately 380 billion won, accounting for more than 70% of the total sales of casinos in Jeju.

As a result, casinos will be required to pay a total of 471 billion won into the Tourism Promotion Fund this year, up from 134 billion won in 2017.


도내 8개 카지노 매출 5천억 원 넘어

지난해 도내 카지노 사업장 매출액이
5천억 원을 넘었습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
지난해 도내 8개 외국인 카지노 사업장의
잠정 매출액은 5천 1백여 원으로
전년 1천 7백억 원보다 3천억 원 이상 증가했습니다.

특히 신화월드 카지노 매출액은 3천 8백억 원대로
도내 매출액의 70% 이상을 차지했습니다.

이에 따라
사업장에 부과되는 관광진흥기금도
2017년 134억 원에서 471억 원으로
3배 가까이 늘어날 전망입니다.
