2. Province tackles problem of unsold housing
1,200 units left empty in Jeju

The provincial government will launch a task force with the Jeju branch of the Construction Association of Korea and Jeju Development Corporation to devise measures to resolve problems of unsold housing in the island.

Possible solutions include adjusting construction schedules, cutting taxes and capping prices of private housing. Officials also plan to extend qualifications for purchasing homes and discuss with the financial sector to provide additional financial support.

The local government will propose that the national authorities make improvements by cutting taxes and adjusting construction schedules.

Jeju is currently designated as a management area to address unsold housing totalling up to 1,200 units.

미분양주택 해소를 위한 TF팀을 구성해 대책을 마련합니다.

현재까지 나온 주요내용을 보면
건축 착공시기 조정과 세제 감면,
민간택지 분양가상한제 적용,
금융지원에 대한 금융권 협의, 기존 주택매입대상 확대 등입니다.

이 가운데 제주도는
건축 착공시기 조정과 세제감면에 대해
중앙부처에 제도개선을 건의하고 있습니다.

지난 2월 기준으로 제주도내 미분양주택은 1천 2백여 세대이며
이 가운데
제주시는 미분양관리지역으로 지정돼 있습니다.
