3. Officials crack down on excessive noise and dust
21 sites fined 11M won for violations

The Jeju Municipal Office found 21 large construction and manufacturing sites emitting more noise and airborne dust than permitted levels.
Officials started investigation on some 1,400 business sites for illegal emissions on April 15.

The city found nine sites without soundproof walls and wind screens, eight failing to report changes in work hours and dust control facilities and four making noises over permitted level.

Officials imposed fines of 11 million won and ordered the sites to meet the levels of requirement.

기준치를 초과한 21곳을 적발했습니다.

주요 위반 사항으로는
방진망과 방음벽 등 억제시설 미비 9건과
작업시간과
방진시설 변경신고 미이행 8건,
소음 규제 기준 초과 4건입니다.

제주시는 해당 공사장을 대상으로
모두 1천100만원의 과태료를 부과하고
개선명령 처분을 내렸습니다.
