3. Province searches delinquent taxpayers’ houses
Strengthened administrative sanctions to be imposed through June

Authorities began searching houses of large sum delinquent taxpayers for the first time. The provincial government launched a task force as part of its special management scheme to collect delinquent taxes through June.

The team conducted house inspections on a large sum delinquent taxpayer owing 170 million won to the government. Officials found and seized 13 luxury goods including bags, shoes and jewelry. The items will be auctioned off by the Korea Asset Management Corporation.

Local officials will continue the inspections of 770 delinquents owing some 21.8 billion won to the government.


고액체납자 가택 수색…고가 사치품 압류

제주도가 체납관리단 출범 이후 처음으로
고액 체납자에 대한 가택 수색을 단행했습니다.

제주도 체납관리단은
지방소득세 등 1억 7천만 원을 체납한
A씨 자택을 수색해
가방과 구두, 보석 등 고가 사치품 13점을 압류했다고 밝혔습니다.

압류한 물품은
한국자산관리공사를 통해 공매할 계획입니다.

제주도는
오는 6월까지를 고액체납액 특별정리기간으로 정하고
218억 원을 체납한 770명을 대상으로
징수 활동을 이어갈 방침입니다.
