3. Rolling admissions to determine 80% of freshman in 2021
Authorities increase CSAT admission by 0.3%

Nearly 80 percent of Korean students will be admitted through rolling admissions in 2021.

According to the college entrance plan for year 2021 released by the Korean Council for University Education, 77 percent of the total entrance quota of 347 thousand students will be accepted through rolling admissions. A relatively smaller number of the remaining 23 percent will be accepted based on their College Scholastic Ability Test scores, marking a 0.3% increase in 2021.


The national government decided to increase the admission quota for CSAT-takers in response to rising public concern toward illegal and unfair acceptances among rolling admissions applicants.

현재 고등학교 2학년생이 치를 2021학년도 대학입시에서
10명 가운데 8명은 수시모집으로 선발됩니다

한국대학교육협의회가 발표한
2021학년도 대입전형 시행계획에 따르면
전체 대학 모집인원은 34만 7천여명으로
이 가운데 수시모집을 통해
77%인 26만 7천명을 선발하기로 했습니다.

정시모집은 23%인 8만여명입니다.

특징적인 것은
매년 감소세를 보이던 정시 모집인원이
최근 정부의 정시 확대 방침에 따라 올해보다 0.3% 늘어났습니다.
