4. Local cases of hepatitis A increase by 90%
Patients are mostly age 30-40 and unvaccinated

Amid a nationwide spike of hepatitis A, the number of local patients is also increasing.

Local health officials witnessed 10 hep A patients from the beginning of the year, which is 7 more patients than the same period last year.

Nine out of the 10 diagnosed patients were in their 30s to 40s and had not received vaccinations.

The Jeju Health Center cautioned the public to take extra care and advised those without antibodies to get vaccinated.

도내 A형 간염환자 증가…90%가 30~40대

전국적으로 A형 간염환자가 급증하는 가운데
도내 환자도 크게 늘고 있습니다.

제주시보건소에 따르면
올들어 지금까지 제주시지역 A형 간염환자는 10명으로
지난해 같은 기간보다 7명 증가했습니다.

특히 환자 10명 가운데 9명은
예방접종을 받지 않은 30 ~ 40대로 파악됐습니다.

보건소는
항체가 없는 3,40대는 예방접종을 받고
개인 위생 관리에도
각별히 신경써달라고 당부했습니다.
