1. New recycling center accepts all items
Officials will pick 7 out of 33 Seogwipo villages for 1st round

Seogwipo City will install ‘medium sized recycling centers’ in mid mountainous regions and small villages.

The medium-sized recycling centers are different from the existing “Clean Houses” by giving residents an option to throw out all recyclables at any desired time.

Municipal officials said that a total of 33 villages requested a recycling center to be installed in the vicinity.

Authorities are planning to actively run three medium-sized recycling centers from May 27th, and install seven more in the coming future.

서귀포지역에서 재활용 도움센터를 설치해 달라는 요청이
잇따르고 있습니다.

서귀포시에 따르면
중형 재활용 도움센터 설치를 위해
희망 마을을 접수한 결과 모두 33개 마을이 요청했습니다.

이는 요일별 배출제를 적용하는 클린하우스와 달리
요일에 상관없이 쓰레기를 배출할 수 있기 때문으로 풀이됩니다.

한편 서귀포시는 오는 27일부터
3개의 중형 재활용 도움센터를 가동하고
추가로 7개를 설치할 계획입니다.
