2. Jeju to construct new provincial government complex
Buildings at the planned construction site to be merged

The Jeju Research Institute proposed a plan to build the new local government complex on the existing site of the local police agency and 2nd government complex.

The provincial government requested the local research institute to conduct a feasibility study on the basic plans of the new establishment. Results showed that creating a new government complex by merging the two buildings of the local police agency and second government complex is most viable.

Researchers also suggested to utilize the current 40-year-old government complex as a city history museum in the future.

The expected size of the new complex is a 15-storey building with one basement floor and the construction cost is estimated to be around 160 billion won.

도청사 타당성 조사와 기본계획 수립 용역을 진행한 결과
4가지 안 가운데 경찰청사와 제2청사를 통합해 신청사를 신축하는 방안이 가장 적합한 것으로 제시됐습니다.

용역진은 또 현재 청사 건물은
도시역사박물관으로 활용하는 방안을 제안했습니다.

신청사 규모는 지하 1층부터 지상 14층 규모로
공사비는 1천600억원으로 추정했습니다.
