2. Revision bill to ban casinos from relocation lacks support
Councilor will continue efforts to restrict expansion

The ordinance amendment to restrict local casinos from relocating and expanding after license acquisition has been called off.

Councilor Lee Sang-bong from the Democratic Party pushed forward with an ordinance amendment to regulate changes of casino licenses. The amendment bill stipulates that a casino business can be relocated only when places of business are under heavy repairs, rebuilt or demolished. However, Councilor Lee failed to introduce the revision due to insufficient number of signatures from other provincial council members.

Lee said that he will work on gathering a consensus among his fellow council members through further discussion on the matter.

불가능하게 됐다고 밝혔습니다.

아직 공감대 형성이 이뤄지지 않았다며
앞으로 토론회 등을 통해
의원들의 의견을 수렴하겠다고 덧붙였습니다.

이 의원은
카지노 사업장 이전을 엄격히 제한하고
확장 이전을 하려면
신규허가 절차를 거치도록 하는 내용의 조례 개정을 추진했습니다.
