Twenty fewer events held in 2018 than 2017

The International Convention Center Jeju is once again facing financial problems.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service, sales at ICC Jeju were 13.8 billion won last year, marking a 1.4 billion won decrease from 2017.

The convention center turned from a net profit of 670 million won in 2017 to a net loss of 990 million won last year.

Event sales for ICC Jeju has dropped more than 1 billion won due to fewer performances being hosted in the convention center. 270 events were held last year, 20 less than the number of events hosted in 2017.

제주 매출 부진…1년만에 다시 적자

제주국제컨벤션센터의 경영실적이 다시 악화된 것으로 나타났습니다.

금융감독원에 따르면
지난해 제주국제컨벤션센터 매출액은 138억 원으로
전년보다 14억 원 가량 감소했습니다.

이로 인해 재작년 6억 7천만 원 흑자에서
지난해 당기순손실
9억 9천 만원을 기록하며
1년 만에 적자로 돌아섰습니다.

국제컨벤션센터 행사 개최실적도
재작년 290여 건에서
지난해 270여 건으로 감소하면서
행사 매출액도 10억 원 이상 줄었습니다.
