4. KCTV Camera Focus receives excellence award
Investigative report on disappearing birthplaces of Korean patriots

KCTV's investigative news program 'Camera Focus' received an excellence award from the Korean Cable Television Association for the first quarter of 2019.

The association held the 41st award ceremony on May 10th at its conference hall located in Seoul.

KCTV’s investigative report on the poorly managed birthplaces of Korean patriots was selected as one of the 7 out of 137 programs from regional channels. It received an excellence award in the ‘investigative report category’.

The report titled ‘Disappearing Birthplaces of Korean Patriots’ was produced by Jo Seung-Won and Hyeon Gwang-Hoon. It uncovers the poor management of the birthplaces of Korean patriots and sheds new light on the value of those places.

제41회 지역채널 우수프로그램 시상식을 열고
지원작 137편 가운데
7편을 우수작으로 최종 선정해 상패를 전달했습니다.

특히 보도분야에서는
KCTV 제주방송 조승원, 현광훈 기자의
카메라포커스 '사라지는 애국지사 생가' 편이 선정돼
수상의 영예를 안았습니다.

'사라지는 애국지사 생가'는
도내 항일애국지사들의 생가가 방치되고 있는 현실을 고발하고
생가의 가치를 재조명했다는 평가를 받으며 수상작으로 선정됐습니다.
