4. Unripe mandarin oranges to be shipped from August 15
1,500 tons to be pre-harvested to manage product quality

The shipment period of this year’s unripe mandarin oranges has been confirmed.

The provincial government held a meeting with related organizations on May 10th to discuss plans to produce and distribute pre-harvested mandarin oranges. This year’s shipment period was confirmed to be held for a month from August 15th, which is around the same period last year.

A total of 1,500 mandarin oranges are expected to be pre-harvested due to reduced number of fruits this year. This is a 35 percent increase of unripe mandarin oranges compared to that of last year.

Officials set 300 tons of mandarin oranges for food processing companies, 500 tons to the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation for shipment, and 700 tons for individual farmer’s self-merchandising. The local government will cover box costs for individual farmers.

전년과 동일한 8월 15일부터 9월 15일까지로 결정했습니다.

올해산 풋귤은
착과량 감소 등의 이유로
지난해보다 35% 늘어난 1천 5백톤이 생산될 것으로 예상했습니다.

제주도는
가공업체 3백톤,
농협 계통출하 5백톤,
농가 자율처리 물량을 7백톤으로 정하고
농가에 풋귤 포장상자 구입비 등을 지원할 계획입니다.
