Former landowners seek to reclaim expropriated land

Previous landowners of Donghong-dong in Seogwipo City are preparing legal action against the Jeju International Free City Development Center to reclaim their expropriated properties after the local government’s decision to revoke the license of the Greenland International Hospital.

Residents of Donghong-dong recently held a village council meeting and agreed to file a lawsuit against JDC.

Four former landowners will participate in the lawsuit to reclaim expropriated lands of around 16,000 square meters.

Residents and former landowners said that the Greenland International Hospital’s license was annulled and the construction project of Jeju Healthcare Town was suspended after they had sold their land to JDC with hopes to revitalize the local economy.

The residents are planning to meet with Moon Dae-rim, the Chairman of JDC, soon and deliver their intentions to take legal action. The plaintiffs will file their lawsuits by the end of May.

사업부지를 매입했던 JDC를 상대로
토지반환소송을 제기하기로 의견을 모았습니다.

소송을 제기할 토지주는 4명으로
부지면적은 1만 6천여 제곱미터입니다.

토지주들은
지역 경제 활성화 차원에서 JDC에 땅을 팔았지만
녹지병원이 허가 취소되고
헬스케어타운 공사는 전면 중단된 상태라며

조만간 문대림 이사장을 만나
법적 대응 입장을 전하고
이달 중으로 소장을 접수하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
