2. JRA urges large rental car agencies to follow regulation
5 corporate rental car agencies filed a lawsuit against the province

Members of the Jeju Rent-a-car Association held a rally in front of the ‘Rent-a-Car’ House at Jeju International Airport on May 24th.

Local rental car agencies demanded the five large corporate rental car agents to drop their case against the local government. They also visited the offices of opposing the rental car quota system to urge their participation.

Currently, 119 agencies out of 128 local agencies are participating in the cap system. However five large corporations have taken the case to the Jeju District Court to overturn the province’s administrative measures. They are arguing the province is infringing on property rights without justified compensation.

대기업 렌터카 회사 5곳은
제주도를 상대로 한 수급조절 반대소송을 취하하고
렌터카 총량제에 적극 동참하라고 주장했습니다.

이들은 총량제에 참여하지 않은 업체를 돌며 항의 시위도 벌였습니다.

현재 렌터카 총량제에는 업체 128곳 가운데
119곳이 참여하고 있으며
대기업 5곳은 사유재산 침해를 주장하며 총량제에 반대하고 있습니다.
