2. Local police arrests 30 people for dealing drugs
Pharmacists caught illegally selling psychotropic drugs

Amidst the nationwide drug crisis, the local police have caught a total of 30 people dealing and using drugs in Jeju.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency has been cracking down on illegal drugs for the past three months from this February. Officers detained 8 out 30 people arrested for distribution, delivery and usage of drugs.

Online and social media drug advertising and distribution accounted for the largest number of offenders with 15 people. 12 people were arrested for offline distribution and usage of meth.

Three pharmacists were also caught for compounding and selling psychotropic drugs without a license. They also falsely entered the handling quantity into the narcotics management system.

마약 문제가 전국으로 확산된 가운데
제주에서도 마약 유통과 투약사범이 잇따라 경찰에 붙잡혔습니다.

제주지방경찰청은 지난 2월부터 3개월 동안
마약류 범죄를 집중단속해
유통과 투약, 배송사범 등 30명을 검거하고
이 가운데 8명을 구속했습니다.

적발된 유형별로 보면
인터넷과 SNS를 통한 마약류 광고와 유통이
15명으로 가장 많고
오프라인에서 필로폰을 유통 또는
투약한 사범도 12명에 달했습니다.

특히 약국에서 면허 없이
향정신성의약품을 조제해 판매하고
마약류 통합관리시스템에 취급수량을 허위로 입력한
약사 3등 3명도 검거됐습니다.
