3. 14th Jeju Forum to be held at Jeju ICC May 29-31
More than 6,000 participants to promote peace

The 14th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity is being held at the Jeju International Convention Center on May 29 through the 31st. The forum is hosted by the provincial government and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The list of participants include former U.N. Secretary Ban Ki-moon, former Austrian President Heinz Fischer, former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.

53% out of the 71 sessions will be on national security and foreign affairs, under the theme of “Asia Towards Resilient Peace: Promote Peace and Reconciliation”.

The number of pre-registered participants for this year’s Jeju forum is 6,000, marking a 1,000 increase than that of last year.

29일부터 사흘동안 제주국제컨벤션센터에서 열립니다.

'아시아의 회복탄력적 평화'를 주제로 진행되는
이번 제주포럼에는
반기문 전 유엔 사무총장과 하인츠 피셔 전 오스트리아 대통령,
말콤 턴불 전 호주 총리, 하토야마 유키오 전 일본 총리가 참석합니다.

특히 71개의 프로그램 가운데
외교안보 분야가 53%로 구성돼 회복 탄력적 평화를 구현하는데 초점이 맞춰질 전망입니다.

한편 현재까지 이번 제주포럼의 사전 등록자는
지난해보다 1천명 많은 6천여 명으로 집계됐습니다.
