‘Large rental agencies are disregarding traffic congestion for profit’

Amidst the Jeju district court’s decision to accept petitions for preliminary injunction filed by 5 large rental car companies, local rental car companies made clear that they will continue to participate in the rental car quota system.

Jeju Rent-a-car Association held a press conference at the provincial council on May 30th and said that large agencies are completely disregarding local traffic congestion for their benefits.

Association members also announced a plan to conduct a campaign to gather signatures from people who support the rental car quota system.

More than 4,500 units of vehicles are on sale or have been sold off by local rental car agencies.

제주도자동차대여조합은 30일 오전
제주도의회 도민의 방에서 기자회견을 열고
사법부의 가처분 인용 결정에 대한 유감을 표하며
이같이 밝혔습니다.

이들은 특히
대기업들이 돈벌이만을 위해 교통난을 나몰라라하고 있다며
앞으로 감차정책에 동참을 촉구하는
서명운동을 진행할 계획이라고 강조했습니다.

그러면서 지역 업체들은 이미 4천 500여대를
매각하거나 진행 중이라고 덧붙였습니다.
