5. Official beach season begins June 22
Hyeopjae, Iho, Samyang, Hamdeok open late night for 1 month

Official beach season starts from June 22nd.

Local officials set the opening date of local beaches at a recent provincial beach council meeting. Hyeopjae, Geumneung, Iho, Hamdeok, and Gwakji beaches will officially open on June 22nd. Samyang, Gimnyeong, Sinyang, Jungmun, Pyoseon, and Hwasun beaches will open on July 1st.

Hyeopjae, Iho, Samyang, and Hamdeok beaches will stay open later into the night for a month from July 15th.

The provincial government will assign 70 lifeguards to the 11 beaches.

제주도는 해수욕장협의회를 열고
협재와 금능, 이호, 함덕, 곽지해수욕장 등 5 곳은 다음 달 22일,
삼양과 김녕,
신양, 중문, 표선, 화순은
7월 1일을 개장일로 확정했습니다.

특히 협재와 이호, 삼양, 함덕은
7월 15일부터 한달 동안 야간에도 운영하기로 했습니다.

제주도는
지정해수욕장 11곳에
안전요원 70여 명을 상시 배치할 계획입니다.
