1. Relatives of the missing April 3rd Incident apply for retrials
Continued efforts to restore the honor of the wrongly convicted

An association of relatives of the missing April 3rd Incident victims applied for retrials to restore the honor of the wrongly convicted. This followed the court clearing the charges of the surviving victims of the April 3rd Incident this January.

The group submitted reconsideration bills to the Jeju District court to clear the names of 10 missing victims convicted by the military court.

The victims were illegally taken to prisons across the country and are nowhere to be found.

행방불명 희생자 유족들도 국가를 상대로 재심을 청구했습니다.

제주 4.3 희생자 유족 행방불명인 유족협의회는
4.3 당시 군사재판으로 형무소로 끌려가 행방불명 된
유족 10명에 대한 재심 청구서를
제주지방법원에 제출했습니다.

행불인 수형인은
4.3 당시 불법적인 군사재판을 받아
전국 각지의 형무소로 끌려갔지만
시신을 찾지 못한 희생자들입니다.

한편 4.3 생존 수형인들은 재심을 청구해
지난 1월 사실상의 무죄 판결을 받았습니다.
