4.‘Yellow Carpet’ to be installed at 5 elementary schools
Crosswalks painted bright yellow to protect children

More ‘Yellow Carpets’ will be created near five elementary schools for children’s safety.

‘Yellow Carpet’ is a crosswalk with blind spot areas painted bright yellow. It was designed for drivers to easily notice children waiting.

The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters will install bright yellow crosswalk markings at five local elementary schools in Jeju in cooperation with the municipal police and ChildFund Korea by the end of this year.

Yellow Carpet’ crosswalks are installed near 17 local elementary schools.

어린이들의 보행 안전을 위한 옐로카펫 횡단보도가 추가로 설치됩니다.

제주도소방안전본부는
초록우산 어린이재단과 자치경찰 등과 협업해
올해 말까지 5개 학교에 옐로카펫 횡단보도를 추가 설치하기로 했습니다.

옐로카펫은 횡당보도 진입로에 노란색으로 표시해 만든
일종의 어린이 안전 시설입니다.

현재 제주에는 17개 초등학교에 옐로카펫이 설치됐습니다
