3. Province to create national garden
Construction at Mulyeongari Oreum to finish by 2028

The provincial government is starting a project to transform the ramsar wetlands of Mulyeongari Oreum into a garden.

The province have started the environmental impact study after the feasibility assessment completed last year for the national garden project.

Researchers will study the 210,000 square meters of land designated for constructions.

12 gardens will be created by 2028 under the theme of three local myths.

물영아리 국가정원 조성사업 절차 본격

남원읍 수망리 물영아리오름 일대를
제주국가정원으로 조성하기 위한 절차가 본격 추진됩니다.

제주도는
지난해 말 국가정원 조성에 따른
타당성 조사 용역을 완료한 데 이어
환경영향평가 용역에 들어갔다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 용역은
국가정권 토지이용계획에 따른 원형 녹지를 제외하고
시설물이 들어서는 21만 제곱미터를 대상으로
내년 상반기까지 진행됩니다.

제주 국가정원은
제주의 3가지 신화를 주제로
2028년까지 12개 정원이 조성될 예정입니다.
