5. Seogwipo to install 39 EV charging facilities at Seongsanpo Port
Multiple car use ‘Smart Charger’ at a multi-storey car park

More electric vehicle charging facilities will be installed at Seongsanpo Port in Seogwipo City.

Seogwipo Municipal office signed an agreement with the Jeju branch of Korea Electric Power Corporation to install 39 charging facilities in a multi-storey parking space at Seongsanpo Port.

‘Smart charger’, which can charge multiple vehicles at the same time with one estimator, will be operated from October.

Installing more charging facilities at Seongsanpo Port has been suggested due to the increase in the number of rental cars. The port currently has only four EV chargers.

서귀포시 성산포항에 전기자동차 충전시설이 확대 설치됩니다.

서귀포시는 한국전력 제주본부와 협약을 체결하고
성산포항 복층주차장에 전기차 충전시설 39기를 설치한다고
밝혔습니다.

이번에 설치되는 충전시설은
하나의 추정기로 다수의 차량을 동시에 충전하는 지능현 충전기로
10월부터 가동될 예정입니다.

현재 성산포항에는 4기의 충전시설이 있지만
전기차 렌터카가 늘면서 필요성이 꾸준히 제기돼 왔습니다.
