1. Jeju’s EV special zone suffers setback
MSS requires plan to revitalize local economy

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups excluded Jeju from the list of candidate regions for the EV special zone project.

Seoul previously decided to prioritize discussions with Jeju as its prime candidate for the special zone on April 16th.

However, the province was exempt from deliberation due to lack of plans to connect the EV industry with revitalization of the local economy.

Local officials will submit a revised plan for the EV special zone project.

제주도는
정부 요구사항을 보완한 뒤
수정된 특구 사업계획을 제출할 예정입니다.
