6. Seongsan-eup subsidizes transit fees for students of low income households
Operations funded by donations from Orion Foundation

The Seongsan-eup district office is subsidizing transportation fees for middle school students of low income households in the area for the first time in the island.

A total of 31 middle school students have received a monthly grant of 25 thousand won to cover transit fees since May. The subsidy is funded by donations from Orion Foundation.

The project was suggested by the youth press of Dongbu Social Welfare center.

서귀포시 성산읍이 도내 최초로 저소득층 학생들에게

지난달부터
저소득층 중학생 31명에게
교통비로 매월 2만5천원씩 지급하고 있으며

오리온 재단에서 지정기탁한 기금으로 운영되고 있습니다.

동부종합사회복지관 소속
청소년 기자단의 제안에 따라 이뤄지고 있습니다.
