1. Woman murders ex-husband in Jeju
Police to investigate death of stepson

Koh Yu-jeong is alleged to have killed her ex-husband at a pension in Jocheon-eup. She dismembered and disposed of his body at various locations to destroy evidence. The police have determined that the murder happened on May 25th.

Jeju Dongbu Police Chief Officer Park Ki-nam said that Koh’s internet browsing history indicates that the crime was premeditated from May 10th, 15 days prior to the murder.

The police concluded that the suspect murdered the victim while he was drugged and defenseless.

Officers are also looking for any connections between the recent murder and the death of Ms. Koh’s stepson, who died of suffocation this March.

지난달 25일에서 27일 사이 제주시 조천읍의 한 펜션에서
전 남편인 36살 강모씨를 살해한 뒤 시신을 유기하고
도주한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

제주동부경찰서 박기남 동부경찰서장은
지금까지의 수사결과를 발표하면서
고유정이 범행 수법과 수습 방법 등을 인터넷으로 검색한
지난달 10일을
이번 범죄의 시발점으로 추정한다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 범행 장소인 펜션 내부에서 혈흔 형태를 분석한 결과
피해자의 방어 흔적이 나타나지 않는 점에 미뤄
고유정이 수면제를 이용해
피해자가 방어할 수 없는 상황에서
흉기를 휘둘러 살해한 것으로 최종 결론내렸습니다.

또한 지난 3월 고 여인과 재혼한 남편의
4살된 의붓아들의 질식사에 대해
이번 사건과의 연관성을 수사하고 있습니다.
