Tobacco retailer applications from July 13th subject to new policy

Newly established tobacco shops should stand at least 100 meters apart from other tobacco shops starting July 13th, doubling current legal distance.

The provincial government has made a formal announcement to revise policies for tobacco retailers on Wednesday.

The revised rules state that tobacco retailers newly submitting applications for establishment after July 13th should be set more than 100 meters away from other retailers.

Buildings with more than 6 floors and larger than 2,000 square meters are now no longer exempt and must follow the revised rules.

담배소매인 지정 제한 거리가 50미터에서 100미터로 확대됩니다.

이같은 내용을 담은
'담배소매인 지정 기준 규칙'을 개정해 공포했습니다.

30일간의 유예기간이 지나는 다음달 13일부터 적용되며
신규로 담배소매인 지정을 신청할 경우
기존 업체와
100m 이상 떨어져야 가능합니다.

또 그동안 담배소매점간 거리제한을 받지 않았던
6층 이상
연면적 2천 제곱미터 이상의 건축물도
이번 규칙 개정 내용을 적용받게 됩니다.
