4. Province revises requirements of security certification system for rural guesthouses
Applications open throughout the year from July

The province is modifying requirements of a security certification system for rural lodging facilities to encourage them to participate in the safety certification system.

Currently, only 39 lodging facilities in Jeju pass the system. This is even less than 1% out of 3,973 rural lodging facilities in the island.

The province will accept applications throughout the year from July. Businesses are now no longer required to meet all 20 criteria and can receive safety certification if they score over 85 points in the criteria.

Applicants should have operated their guesthouses for more than 6 months.

우선 신청대상을
운영 경력 6개월 이상으로 강화하고
신청기간은 기존 연 1회에서
연중 수시로 늘렸습니다.

또 20개 항목요건 모두 충족해야 했던 것을
점수화 해 전체적으로 85점 이상이면 지정될 수 있도록 했습니다.

현재 도내 농어촌민박은 4천여 곳으로
안전인증을 받은 곳은 39곳에 머물고 있습니다.
