‘Still waiting on Chinese headquarters’ decision’: JCC

The developer of the Ora Tourism Complex JCC has yet to make a deposit into an account owned by the province by the end of this month.

According to the provincial government, JCC has not made a deposit, although there is less than a week left before the due date.

Officials said that the only answer they received from JCC was that the company’s headquarters in China has not finalized its decisions.

At the end of last year, the Capital Verification Committee for the Ora Tourism Complex development asked JCC for a deposit of 337.3 billion won. The deposit is 10% of the development cost of 5.218 trillion won after subtracting 1.8 trillion won of revenue generated by selling of parts of the tourism complex land.

예치금 납입 이달말 종료…JCC 움직임 없어

오라관광단지 자본예치금 납입 기한이 이번 달로 종료되는 가운데 사업자측은
아직까지 이렇다할 움직임을 보이지 않고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
사업자인 JCC는
납입기한 일주일이 남은 현재까지
예치금을 입금하지 않은 것으로 알려졌습니다.

제주도는
사업자측으로부터
중국 본사의 최종 결정이
내려오지 않았다는 답변만 전달받았다고 설명했습니다.

한편 제주도 자본검증위원회는
오라관광단지 자본 투명성을 검증하기 위해
지난해 말 사업자 측에 자기자본의 10%인
3천 3백억 여원을 이번 달까지 납입할 것으로 요구했습니다.
