5. Local firefighters put helicopter ‘Hallamae’ into service
‘Hallamae’ is air rescue and firefighting chopper

Jeju’s first multi-use helicopter (한라매)Hallamae is now in service.

The Jeju Fire Department held a launching ceremony of Hallamae on Wednesday at the Jeju International Airport.

Hallamae is created with an investment of 27 billion won and can be used for fire suppression and air rescue work.

The department decided to use the helicopter to suppress forest fires, transfer emergency patients to hospitals in mainland and support disaster relief work at high buildings.

소방헬기 한라매 도입에 따른
항공대 발대식을 개최했습니다.

소방헬기 한라매는
270억 원을 들여 개발한 국내 기종으로
항공 인명구조와
화재진압 기능을 갖췄습니다.

소방안전본부는
도내 산불 진압과 응급환자의 수도권 병원 이송,
고층건물 재난 상황에 한라매를 투입하기로 했습니다.
