2. JCC refuses to make deposit for its project
Province asks for other proofs of financial eligibility by mid July

The Ora Tourism Complex developer JCC notified the province of its intentions to not make a deposit for the development project.

The provincial government had previously requested JCC to deposit 337.3 billion, which is 10% of the development cost, in to an account owned by the province.

The local government asked JCC to inform the government of other options to identify its financial eligibility by mid-July.

Once JCC offers other options, the capital verification committee will review the alternatives. Then the province will submit its final statement of opinion to the provincial council.

JCC, "오라관광단지 예치금 입금 불가"

오라관광단지 사업자인 JCC가
제주도에 예치금을 납입하지 않겠다는 입장을 전달했습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
JCC는 최근 자기자본의 10%에 해당하는
3천억 여원을 입금하지 않겠다고 제주도에 통보했습니다.

이에 따라 제주도는
사업자에 예치금 입금 대신
다른 대안이 있는 지
7월 중순까지 답변해달라고 요구했습니다.

제주도는
사업자로부터 답변이 오면
곧바로 자본검증위원회 심의를 거친 뒤
최종 의견서를 제주도의회에 제출할 계획입니다.
