3. 6th revision bill of Jeju Special Act passes National Assembly
Province to have a semi-autonomous status

The sixth revision bill to the Jeju Special Act was passed by the Bill Examination Subcommittee under the National Assembly’s Public Administration and Security Committee.

The bill includes new regulations on Gotjawal designation and extension of the active period of the Jeju Supporting Committee under the Office of the Prime Minister to June 2021.

It will provide legal ground for municipal cities having no right of autonomy to establish committees for construction and child care policies. The bill also let the local government request investment information from investors to manage the investment free zone.

Penalties of 1 million won on violations of parking space proof system and mandatory installation of speed limiters on rental cars are included in the bill as well.

이번에 통과된
6단계 제도개선안의 주요내용을 보면
제주특별자치도 지원위원회 존속기한을
오는 2021년 6월까지로 연장하고
곶자왈 보호지역을 지정할 수 있도록 하는 조항이 신설됐습니다.

또 자치권한이 없는 행정시에도
건축위원회와
지방보육정책위원회를 설치할 수 있는 근거를 마련했고
투자진흥지구의 관리를 위해
투자자에게 자료제출을 요구할 수 있도록 했습니다.

이와 함께
차고지 증명제를 어길 경우 100만원 이하의 과태료 부과 내용과
렌터카에 속도제한장치를 설치할 수 있도록 하는 내용을 신설했습니다.
