5. Increased outflow from Yangtze River to flow into local sea
Province to dispatch team to survey low salinity water in western coastal waters

The increased outflow from the Yangtze River in China is raising the possibility of low salinity water flowing into the waters of Jeju.

The Jeju Ocean and Fisheries Institute said that outflow from the Yangtze river increased to 47,000 tons of water per second, marking a 20% rise compared to last month.

This amount of outflow is similar to the amount of low salinity water flowing into the local waters in 2016.

The institute will dispatch an emergency response team to survey low salinity water in the western coastal waters of the island.

중국 양자강 유출량이 크게 늘면서

저염분수 유입 가능성이 높아지고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도 해양수산연구원은
최근 중국 양자강 유출량이
초당 4만 7천톤으로
지난달과 비교해 20% 늘었다고 밝혔습니다.

이같은 유출량은
제주에 저염분수가 유입됐던
지난 2016년과 비슷한 규모입니다.

제주도 해양수산연구원은
비상상황반을 편성해
서부 연근해를 중심으로
저염분수 예찰 조사를 실시할 계획입니다.
