Bereaved families and civic groups demand passage of 4·3 revision bill

Civic groups and the bereaved families of the April 3rd incident held a rally in front of the National Assembly building at Yeouido, Seoul on Friday. They called for the passage of the revision bill for the April 3rd Incident Special Law.

Several groups participated the rally including the April 3rd Peace Foundation and the Association for the Bereaved Families of April 3rd Incident victims. They demanded the government to pass the revision bill as soon as possible, as South Korean President Moon Jae-In promised a complete resolution of the incident during his speech at the 71st commemoration ceremony.

They added that they will make their case on the world stage if the National Assembly does not focus on passing the revision bill of April 3rd Incident Special Act.

4.3특별법 개정안의 조속한 처리를 촉구했습니다.

4.3희생자유족회와 4.3평화재단, 4.3범국민위원회 등은 결의문을 통해
문재인 대통령이
지난 추념식에서 4.3의 완전한 해결을 약속한 만큼
국회와 정부는
특별법 개정안을
하루 빨리 통과시켜야 한다고 주장했습니다.

특히 국회를 향해
정쟁에만 몰두하지 말고
4.3특별법 개정안을 처리하라며
올해 안에 처리되지 않으면
범국민적 저항에 나서겠다고 밝혔습니다.
