4. Koreans tap Jeju as 2nd most popular summer getaway
A huge jump in ranking from 2017 and 2018

Jeju placed second behind Gangwon-do Province as Korea's most popular summer vacation destination, according to a recent survey by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 5-day survey of more than 1,000 Koreans on their summer vacation plans from July 13th. It found that 48% of the participants have their own plans for this summer.

Jeju was ranked second most preferred domestic vacation spot with 17% of respondents selecting Jeju. Gyeongsangnamdo province and Jeollanamdo province followed as 3rd and 4th in place, respectively.

Jeju was not ranked in the survey in 2017 and 2018.

휴가 계획이 있는 응답자는 48%로 조사됐습니다.

이 가운데 국내여행 목적지로는
제주가 17%의 선호도를 얻어 강원 다음으로 두 번째로 높았고
경남과 전남이 뒤를 이었습니다.

제주는 2017년과 지난해 같은 조사에서는
순위에 들지 못했습니다.
