The Jeju branch of Agricultural Products Quality Management Service uncovered 22 local restaurants that mislabeled or unlabeled origins of their foods.

It conducted inspections of origin labeling of 442 restaurants in Jeju for a month and found that 22 stores mislabeled or unlabeled origins of their foods.

15 restaurants were charged and is currently under investigation for mislabeling. Six restaurants that unlabel origins and one restaurant that did not keep its purchase history of livestock products were fined 1.8 million won.

제주지역 음식점이 무더기로 적발됐습니다.

국립농산물품질관리원 제주지원은
지난 한 달여간 관광객이 선호하는 음식점과 블로그 맛집 등
400여개 업체를 대상으로
원산지 표시 특별단속을 벌여 22곳을 적발했다고 밝혔습니다.

적발한 업체 가운데
원산지를 거짓으로 표시한 15곳은 형사 입건해 수사중에 있고
원산지를 표시하지 않은 6곳과
축산물 구입내역을 보관하지 않은 1곳에 대해서는
180만 원의 과태료를 부과했습니다.
